Have a cookie

I swear I need to stop reading message boards.

Let me ask you.
If a company produces a product you don't like, let's say a type of cookie, and then they come out with a new cookie that they are very excited an happy about.  You don't care cause you only eat home made cookies or maybe you don't like cookies at all, maybe you like cake.  But I don't like cake. I like cookies.
So in the end does it really matter what the company does?  You can eat your home made cookies or your cake or nothing and I can enjoy my cookies how ever I get them. Right?

Ok now substitute "Cookies" for any game of your choice.

Now can you see why I have a headache?

Ugh.

By the way please buy my new cookies.  They are shaped liked ghosts but taste like English Shortbread.
;)

Good analogy. I don't know why more people don't get it? You don't have to buy the cookie, you don't have to eat the cookie, and really, it's not your cookie company. The cookie company is going to do what they think is best for their business.

So many are criticizing the cookie companies new cookie without even tasting it!

That was pretty funny. So if we replace cookies with any game of our choice, what are we going to replace the cake with?

@Tim: Maria Menounos

That's all and good, but when the company who makes your favorite cookie is bought by someone else who then adds artichoke and anchovies to the mix, are you saying you wouldn't be upset?

hehe, couldn't help extending the metaphor. : )

Personally, I make my own cookies. That way I'm always happy.

But the new cookie company isn't actually doing any of that.
Sure they may now being making sugar cookies and macadamia nut, but fans of the old company just want the chocolate chip they had in the past.
So without actually tasting the cookies, they are saying there is no way these new cookies are any good. In fact anyone that eats the new cookies has no idea what cookies really are.

It is rather silly to be honest.

Good luck with A-Z and Tumble 4 Ya. I'm doing both as well so I guess I'll be visiting again soon. Nice to meet you.

but...but...I prefer the original chocolate chip cookie and now this cookie company is calling their new cookie a chocolate chip cookie and its nothing like the original chocolate chip cookie so I am upset..or I would be if I wasn't me.

This Cookie Batter warring is an insult to the work of Wally Amos!

What's more, say the cookie company is changing to a recipie that is closer to the old recipie. Then somebody complains because the placement of the chips isn't exactly the same as the old cookie!
