It's Independence Day here in the States.
Which is a excuse for Americans to play with fire all weekend, but that is cool.
It's odd we celebrate our independence from a country that is arguably one of our biggest friends and ally today.
Well I am celebrating all the same and so should you!

And a happy 4th to you, too. I'll be on-call, so no fireworks for me, unfortunately.
As I mentioned on Tim Shorts' blog, being a Brit, it's just another weekend for us, but the 4th is my wife's birthday so we'll be having a barbie on the beach (if the weather stays good). Have a good one, whatever you're doing.
Have a safe one.
Just remember, kids, explosives and sensitive body parts should have a minimum safe distance between them, dependent on the level of explosive.
Small firecracker = 5 feet.
Nuclear weapon = 500 miles.
