Mail Call: D&D History and Adventures

It's Tuesday, and that means mail around here. It also means UPS, which delivers late in my neighborhood. It is also the release date of Wizards of the Coast's new 50th anniversary book.

New "old" D&D books

The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons, 1970-1977 is a really great book. I can't wait to get into it more.

Original Character sheet.

I also spent some cash on a bunch of AD&D 2nd Edition Forgotten Realms adventures and sourcebooks.

AD&D 2nd Ed Forgotten Realms

I'll get to each one in turn. Looking forward to using these in my AD&D 2nd Ed game. This will be a lot of fun.

I've got Haunted Halls in POD myself, but when I got it there was a mistake and it was missing the maps for The Lonesome Tankard and Tessaril's Tower. Did they fix that? Otherwise I think Haunted Halls is pretty neat, though there's quite a bit of blank space on the map, possibly because it was supposed to be a larger adventure that got cut back for whatever reason, but it does give room to fill it in yourself.

You got some gems there. I love the ruins of Zhentil Keep.
