They released the Premium 1st Ed AD&D Hardcovers last year and soon Unearthed Arcana will join those ranks.
And we have the 2nd Ed Premium Edition reprint on the horizon. (Thanks to Tenkar's Tavern for the WotC links)
- Player's Handbook (wotc)(amazon)
- Dungeon Master's Guide (wotc)(amazon)
- Monstrous Manual (wotc)(amazon)
There are other rumors about other things WotC may be doing in the near future. Including rumors about product support for older editions.
Plus D&D 5/Next is shaping up to be very, very old school inspired.
Wizards of the Coast are making it very hard to cast them as the Evil Empire anymore.
Or maybe they're lulling everybody into a false sense of complacency, and when the time is right...
ReplyDeleteThey buy out Games Workshop.
In the Grim Darkness of the Forgotten Realms there is only War!
It'd be nice if they brought out Basic again (at least Moldvay/Cook Basic/Expert) in a nice boxed set.
ReplyDeleteAs you all know I am a huge fan of the Basic Era. So a "new" Moldvay/Cook/Marsh set would be great.
ReplyDeleteBut you know what would be better? Reprint of OD&D.
I'm looking forward to the reprints of the S series and A series. Though I have them in the original I want them new and in hardback.
ReplyDeleteAs Admiral Ackbar says..."It's a TRAP!"
ReplyDeleteI would love to see an OD&D box reprint. But almost as good would be the Rules Cyclopedia.
ReplyDeleteJot me down for a copy of a reprinted Rules Cyclopedia!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Rules Cyclopedia would be cool too.
