Lots of opinions. Lots of guessing.
I signed up for the playtest of course.
Clearly, WOTC saw my announcement for the forthcoming Blood & Treasure RPG and they got nervous.
ReplyDeleteAs well they should be.
lol.
ReplyDeleteOf course! I am sure that is it. ;)
To be very honest I'm not very excited about this new release. I played every D&D edition so far and I can honestly tell that the product quality took a major nosedive with the 4th edition.
ReplyDeleteGranted I want to give this new edition the benefit of the doubt, but the project seem very ambitious and I fear the possible results.
Currelty the fanbase of D&D is deeply divided and this feedback seem clearly an attempt to recompact it and win back some old fans.
Tim, thanks for all the links, I don't frequent a lot of those blogs so they were some interesting reads.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what they do with the system, and will give it a chance, even buy the three core books. But WotC has one issue that will stop me from getting any more involved with the new system, without pdf, it's a show stopper. I like the convenience of my ipad too much. So hopefully they will revise their policy.
Yeah, that no PDF thing is an issue for me as well.
ReplyDeleteBut we'll see, won't we? It's a long way off still.
Nice.
ReplyDeleteWhole mess of opinions out there.
Waiting to see where some of the dust settles i guess.
Matt, love NOD.
ReplyDeleteTim, love you too. love the simple post.
We are all awesome.
RPG's roll 20!
While there's no dearth of opinions on the matter, as Theodric the Obscure points out in his blog, I think there's a lack of jorunalistic honesty in the "news" articles released today.

Blimey. That's my morning reading sorted out then :)
ReplyDelete@Matt - Blood & Treasure looks excellent fun.
