The Juggernaut was essentially an experimental Berserker prototype, and loaded with 20(!) drone fighter craft as well.

Our playthrough stopped the thing from bombarding the planet it was after (Good Thing) but we only managed it by damaging its drives so badly that it crashed into the planet (Bad Thing) with its full load of atomic missiles on board and armed (Very Bad Thing). At least it was sufficiently out of control that it didn't manage to steer into an actual city and impacted in a lightly populated area, but there was still a lot of fallout, both literal and metaphorical. TF NOVA lost all four cruisers and some of the smaller ships in the fight and we were down to two hull points after tangling with the drone fighters all battle. One of the other draftee civilian ships got killed too, and the third one blamed us for not saving them so we wound up with a new long-term enemy.

Not a great night for us, but memorable.

"My entire middle section is gone here. It was The Treasure Trove."

That one included the Potion of Explosion, which was essentially a bottle of air-activated alchemical nitroglycerine. The fragile glass bottle it comes in was drawn to look like a WW1 German potato masher grenade. Our GM at the time was inordinately fond of them and they showed up in the hands (and treasure troves) of a variety of "Mad Bomber" NPCs for months after this issue.Dick McGeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14521293874696659063noreply@blogger.com
