Batwoman casting

Been watching a bunch of horror movies of late.  No surprise.
I watched a truly dreadful bit of trash called "Flesh, TX".  I won't spoil the review for you all, but it did feature one bright spot in the form of Kathleen Benner.  I then went on to watch a couple of other movies with her in it.
After one point I decided that she would make a perfect Kate Kane/Batwoman.

Here she is, what do you think?

Least that is the vibe I get.

-I hate pretty much every superhero movie I've seen and definitely hate all live-action superhero TV shows.

-I am not usually sympathetic to fan complaints that a character has been changed from the comic just for the sake of not changing it.

the only thing about the current Batwoman that makes her different from the almost a dozen other variations on "female batman" we;ve seen other than that a good artist (JH Williams III) has taken an interest in her is that she's a very identifiable type: she's a pale, dykey rockabilly/goth chick.

Whether this is a good idea or not in the comic (much less on TV) I don't know or much care, but in order for me to look at an actress and go "that's Kathy Kane right there" she'd have to look like that.

(And I don't mean "dykey" in a bad way, maybe that was the wrong choice of words. I mean, she's a lesbian but her style is also kinda "lesbiany"--what I think lesbians I know would call "soft butch". If I'm offending anyone I'm sorry. It's hard to know what words will offend people outside of the realm of people who actually know you in real life.)

@Zak no worries.

I was thinking of Kate more during the the 52 run. The closeted, lipstick lesbian rather than the rockabilly, pale punk Kate. Or think Kate when she was dating Renee.

And again for me it was more of a vibe while watching her acting. Less of a picture.

And in truth it would be really hard to offend anyone that knows me in real life.
