Featured Artist: Ben Honeycutt

Ben Honeycutt is an illustrator I found on Facebook.  I love his style and his characters always look like a lot of fun.

Here is Ben in his own words:
Ben Honeycutt is a freelance comic artist and character illustrator from the US. His primary project is working on Dead Gentlemen's Demon Hunters comic and roleplaying games. He also dabbles in pewter miniature casting and private character commissions.
Here is some of his art.

Up first a couple of commissions he did for me.

And more!

Love this vampire!

Featured Artist: Jonathan F

Welcome back to Featured Artist!  This time I have an artist who is making a name for himself doing custom characters sheets.  That is not all he does, but these are so much fun I had to share.

Jonathan F, aka Jonathan Fountain, aka Farstride, has been making art for a while.  I first noticed him in the Facebook D&D Fantasy Art Group.

He did a couple sheets so I contacted him to see if he would be willing to do one of my iconic witch Larina.  Here are the results.

I am happy to report that my sheet for Larina has gone on to be his most viewed sheet of all time!

And a colorized version by Rueben Mcfadden.

Dragonborn Druid

He does more than just character sheets too.

Check out his Facebook page and request a character sheet for your favorite character.

Featured Artist: Jordin "OneEyedNeko" McGrath

Welcome back to series on Featured Artists! Today I have a real treat for you.
Jordin "OneEyedNeko" McGrath has been an artist and illustrator for over a decade, at least online, I am sure it has been longer.

I love her work and she does some great characters.  Here are some of my favorites.

Featured Artist: Iren Horrors

Todays featured artist is some I have been stalking for a while because I absolutely love her art.

Ksenia Svintsova, aka Iren Horrors, is an artist from Obninsk, Russia and she has a great witch-punk style that I love.  She describes her style and art as "Dark, gothic, witchy illustrations" so of course, I am going to notice her!

Honestly, there is not a single piece she has done that I don't 100% love.

And there is at least ten times more this amount that I love.  In a perfect world I'd get her to do the art for a witch and horror-centric D&D 5 book.

Featured Artist: Clyde Caldwell

Doing this one a day early. This one, again, might feel like a cheat, but it really isn't. Not to me anyway.

Maybe even more so than Elmore, Caldwell has been responsible for some of my all time favorite covers of D&D books and of Dragon magazine.  Between his contributions to the Mystara / Known World Gazeteers to the covers of Ravenloft products.

This one from the cover of Glantri Gazeteer is one of my absolute favorites. I have to think that the red-headed spell-caster had some influence on my own Larina.

Not from any book but I do love this image.

Now, this is from a book, the Celestial Steam Locomotive by Michael Coney, and one of my favorite books to be honest.

One of my favorite adventures.

One of my favorite covers of Dragon.

Larina certainly got her name from Laurana. I came up with her while reading the Dragonlace books.

And of course Strahd himself, from the cover of Ravenloft and Ravenloft: House on Gryphon Hil.

Great stuff really. I love his work.
