However, one little detail that I didn't notice has made me re-evaluate my opinion of the movie and I suspect that future rewatches will see this going up in my estimation. I just think that it's a shame that it seemed to be nothing more than a number of jump scares as I didn't feel any real atmosphere oozing from the screen, despite the lovely sets and design.Tylerandjackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07728309372305602972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-42244633557472236772012-10-02T05:58:51.553-05:002012-10-02T05:58:51.553-05:00I enjoyed it. We were both very pleasantly surprised; it was quite good, an excellent relaunch for Hammer.

I think the best thing about it was it was understated; they weren't looking to make a blockbuster, they were looking to make a good movie. And they more than succeeded... they made a relaly good, almost great movie.

And you are right about Daniel Radcliffe. He does have a great career ahead of him... though I still can't get over how much he is growing up to look like a young Hugh Jackman...James Mishlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03510782553325944558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-31329235492818435062012-10-02T00:03:34.376-05:002012-10-02T00:03:34.376-05:00I just watched this Sunday. I thought that the Edwardian costuming and set was most excellent and it had an appropriately spooky feel.Xyanthonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07902260753434100101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-36577846087400269622012-10-01T23:39:50.119-05:002012-10-01T23:39:50.119-05:00I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed this mo...I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie.
