After, I watched Daddy Long Legs and had a different impression, because it was a film in which Mary was very funny.
The religion in Sparrows is a nice element, considering the beautiful scene where Jesus comes to get the dead baby. During the escape I really wanted Molly to leave back the obnoxious girl who was bothering the group with her fright.
Greetings,
LeLêhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02419693749682458647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-3362091213849411032012-06-02T00:42:51.570-05:002012-06-02T00:42:51.570-05:00I'm not fond of the constant appeals to god in...I'm not fond of the constant appeals to god in Sparrows either, but Molly weak? Not after all those head butts! I too view this as primarily a horror film. The cruelty of Grimes and his family and the horrible condition of the children has haunted me since I first saw the film. The child in peril angle sort of reminds me of Night of the Hunter, but it is so much more grimey and bleak here. That bubbling swamp gives me the chills! Thanks so much for your post. I really enjoyed hearing your perspective.KChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17587905976811500791noreply@blogger.com
