An interesting example of birds and humans was found in Togail Bruidne Da Derga - a tale that considers the Irish king Conaire, whose father was king of the birds, and who was therefore not allowed to hunt them. Indeed he had a number of geas that he eventually tripped into violating, and ended up being slain in a great raid.Bjornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15997061967515601224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-19126926073573913262021-03-17T18:47:17.769-05:002021-03-17T18:47:17.769-05:00Very valid point...though I’m not sure I dig on th...Very valid point...though I’m not sure I dig on the execution.<br />: )JBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03263662621289630246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-16463485892449191492021-03-17T13:48:12.398-05:002021-03-17T13:48:12.398-05:00The more I read the Celtic myths the more and more...The more I read the Celtic myths the more and more I see tale after tale of humans turning into animals and back all the time. Even my beloved Liath Luchara had the ability to turn into a salmon; something I never did a lot with, to be honest.<br /><br />While back when I was talking about the 4e Druid I lamented on the fact that there was too much emphasis on their Wild Shape ability now I think it might not be enough!Timothy S. I think that might have gotten left out of the most recent editions, when the class got turned into "were-people."<br />; )JBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03263662621289630246noreply@blogger.com
