Good review and well thought out, you are 100% correct on all aspects. The thing about Space Opera is the profession progression, lack of character levels which are not used and replaced by levels in skills and character age and corresponding accumulated experience. You can actually be of a protracted venerable age when you enter the game depending on length of career etc. The combat system is very good also even if a little clunky and the detail for planets and systems etc is very good. This game is designed for GM's to flesh out worlds to their desire, create new ones and provide their group with endless directions to pursue. You can play the game like Star Wars, BSG, Star Ship Troopers or even Aliens if you so desire, this is the way we went. Bug hunts from SST and Aliens fit perfectly here and can be run together with Colonial Marines and Mobile Infantry and you can even add in a little Force from Star Wars too if you so desire. Psyonics is VERY detailed in Space Opera. <br />Shane Devrieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03118977957329712099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-8795503411731019442021-05-15T20:25:43.121-05:002021-05-15T20:25:43.121-05:00That Bowie gesture is a powerful curse of Black Ma...That Bowie gesture is a powerful curse of Black Magic -- but in Space Opera it's the Pithecine sign-language for "one medium deluxe pizza, hold the onions..."Draconianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11027582378862395586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7913319789564397699.post-45834553177834155262021-05-15T17:56:58.374-05:002021-05-15T17:56:58.374-05:00"What is the base system? I've always wondered how it was. What is the base system? D20, percentiles?Forrest Aguirrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05531127358059851571noreply@blogger.com
